SOFT UK is dedicated to providing support to families affected by Trisomy 13 and 18, as well as raising awareness. We believe that every family deserves the best possible care and support, regardless of their circumstances.
To continue our vital work, we rely on the generosity of donors like you. Your support can make a real difference to the lives of families affected by Trisomy 13 and 18.
Here are some examples of how your donation could make an impact:
• Help fund our helpline for a family in need of support and advice.
• Help cover the cost of support group meetings and family days, giving families the chance to connect with others who understand what they are going through.
• Help fund printed materials to raise awareness amongst health care professionals, ensuring families are signposted to SOFT UK during or after a diagnosis.
• Keep our website running, giving families and professionals access to our resources digitally.
• Support our ongoing podcast series, helping to share a wealth of different family stories and experiences.

Fundraising For SOFT UK

Sue Wilson has hosted many fundraisers for SOFT UK, from tea parties, to running the London Royal Parks Half Marathon.
Here’s what she has to say about her fundraising inspiration:
SOFT UK is a charity that has been close to my heart for over 21 years now, after my beautiful daughter, Grace Emily, was stillborn with Edwards’ Syndrome. They provided advice around diagnosis, as well as ongoing support following the loss of our precious daughter on 4th May 2000.
You ask why I fundraise… that is your answer. I class myself as so incredibly lucky to have four perfect, healthy children despite my grief at the loss of Grace 21 years ago, and I want to do all I can to support anybody else on that journey who needs it, both now and in the future.
Chelsea raised over £10 000 with her incredible fundraising efforts in memory of her daughter, Esme.
Her goal was to raise funds to help raise awareness of Trisomy 13 and Trisomy 18. When they held Esme’s funeral they setup a charity page for SOFT UK in which they raised a huge amount of money to support us.
Her partner, Anthony and family, set up an evening with a singer, raffle, and festivities, and raised over £4 000 during this.

Ben and family have put together a number of fundraisers for SOFT UK, from their epic Tee-18 golf day which raised over £9 000, to running a marathon.
Their Tee-18 day consisted of golf, a 2 course lunch, presentation, putting competition, an evening disco, more food, and then an auction too!

Online Clothing Store

We are occasionally asked for merchandise by supporters, but due to limited resources, it's not possible for us to keep stock. Instead, we've teamed up with TotalClothing, who can supply a selection of items featuring our logo.
Please note: To keep your costs as low as possible, we have not added a mark-up and do not receive any funds from the sale of these items.
Raise funds every time you shop!
Do you shop online? Did you know that every time you buy something you could be raising money for SOFT UK?
That’s right - over 4000 well known retailers including M&S, Boden, Waitrose, House of Fraser, Vodafone, Virgin Atlantic and many more, will donate a percentage of what you spend to SOFT UK! when you shop with them.
It’s like nectar but instead of earning points, each purchase generates a donation. So instead of going directly to a retailer’s website, go to your chosen fundraising site first and choose the retailer you want to shop with – then everything you spend with that retailer earns a free donation for SOFT UK. It’s completely free to use and your shopping won’t cost you a penny more.
On average, each retailer will donate 5% of the cost of your shopping - and those donations soon mount up.
So whatever you need to buy, from your weekly grocery shop or fashion must-have, to your business travel, office supplies or mobile phone, buy it via one of these providers and raise money for SOFT UK at no extra cost to you!
Raise Funds Recycling
We have partnered with Recycling for Good Causes, to offer ways to recycle everyday items and raise money for SOFT UK at the same time.
Donate your Stamps
You can now donate your used stamps to raise much needed funds for SOFT UK. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper.
Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:

Jewellery and Bank Notes
You can donate all your broken and unwanted jewellery to raise money for SOFT UK. If you have any gold, silver, odd earrings, broken chains, costume jewellery and watches, you can recycle them at no cost to you whilst making money for SOFT UK.
We can recycle:
Any jewellery – gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (like odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones).
Any unwanted banknotes – old and new, UK and foreign banknotes, including all the pre Euro notes that are now worthless to you.
If you would like to send your jewellery and banknote recycling to us, simply wrap, pack, print label and send!
Use your own envelope or jiffy bag, no bigger than A5 in size, and post free of charge by printing out this freepost label and attaching it to your envelope.
Please do not send coins to the freepost address above as the postage costs will far outweigh your donation.
Larger Items
Alternatively if you would be interested in collecting larger items on behalf of SOFT UK you could start a Recycling Project with us.
